Cal-Nev-Ha District of Kiwanis International- Pediatric Trauma Program

BY Riddhi Patel

The charitable entity of the Cal-Nev-Ha District of Kiwanis International, created in 1994, is supported solely by voluntary contributions placed behind their Pediatric Trauma Program. These granted funds go towards developing local projects which reduce the amount of children in the Kiwani’s three-state District whom are killed or affected by trauma. The initiative calls upon attention on the 9,000 families within the United States that have experienced unintentional injuries leading to the death of their child.  Along with unintentional injuries being the number one cause of death for citizens under the age of 14, the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP), ensures that not only aid be provided but necessary education on the topic.

The Key Club annual Fall Rally South and North attracts districts from across the nation to attend Magic Mountain Six Flags. A fun-filled day with access to all rides and attractions. The rally will be held at the Golden Bear Theater located centrally in the park. Each division has a designated session time so that are confirmed before arrival. Throughout the Rally, members will experience exciting spirit battles, games, icebreakers, special speakers, announcements, reveals, and new friendships. Along with having fun Key club members are building a better future for our children, by raising funds within their own communities for the PTP.
