Business Feature: At Thai Cuisine, Family Style

By Yvonne Guu

At Thai Cuisine, a family-run restaurant in Cerritos, serves a myriad of authentic and delicious Thai dishes that is made with only the best ingredients. Although this small business just opened at the beginning of 2020 and faced hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic, its positive Yelp and Google reviews proves that there is a hidden delicacy in our community.

The Tachasooksaree family’s prior experience living in Thailand helps bring about a multitude of traditional flavors in their dishes. With this, it is truly unlike any other Thai restaurant around. The lovely mixture of sour, sweet, and spicy flavors alongside the fusion of ingredients that complement each other well leaves customers wishing for more. Some of the most popular dishes include their signature At Thai Boat Noodle and the classic Pad See Ew. The vegetables coated in glistening sauce and the juicy, tender meat are cooked to absolute perfection. The family’s personal favorite dish is fish cakes. They spent lots of time developing the recipe to ensure that the “fish is soft yet fluffy and seasoned to the perfect amount.” Unlike other Thai restaurants, At Thai Cuisine has vegan and vegetarian options to accommodate everyone’s tasting preferences.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this family-run restaurant has had to adjust to take-out only policies which has brought about financial adversities. Despite this, their passion and determination to make delicious foods and share Thai cuisine with others have remained strong. The Tachasooksaree family hopes to restore normal operations as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

With that being said, order from At Thai Cuisine whenever you are craving takeout. There are tons of options from appetizers to desserts to choose from in their extensive menu. All proceeds go back to restaurant expenses and their family expenses, including college tuitions.
